“This chair was a gift from my mother-in-law, 25 years ago. It had been bought by my father-in-law in the 60’s, and had then become the favorite chair of my husband. Sadly, neither of them is still with us.”

“And now, this restored object, which shines today in the living room, is a symbol of the centrality Claudio and Marco have in our hearts. I dedicate it to my mother-in-law who will shortly turn 100.”

from the living room to the study, by way of the bedroom.
She’s experienced breast-feeding, chats and confessions. Discussions both
beautiful and less so. In the end, during a move, she was all but forgotten, until my husband,
Mark, rediscovered her while visiting his mother. The rest is history. Now she’s
an elderly woman with a precious—but at all flashy—dress, elegant in every detail.”

My father bought the chair
in the early 70s for the little studio
where my sister and I would study.
But often, we’d just have fun
listening to music —
playing records for hours!
It would be impossible to let
my father’s chair fall to pieces,
impossible to not want to give
new life to that little chair
that watched over our times,
our songs and our memories…”
